  • XVIII World Congress of Comparative Education Societies 2024

    The XVIII World Congress of Comparative Education Societies will take place from July 22 to July 26, 2024, at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA. The theme of this Congress is "Fostering Inclusive Ecologies of Knowledge: Education for Equitable and Sustainable Futures." It is the first time that the world congress is being held in the USA in the 54 years of the history of the Council.

    Co-convened by WCCES and UNESCO, and co-organized by NGVO and IOCES, the XVIII WCCES World Congress will be a unique venue to bring together constituent societies and their members, other scholars, researchers, policy-makers, community leaders, and stakeholders from around the world to exchange ideas, share research findings, and discuss innovative approaches to addressing the educational challenges of our time. This event will serve as a unique opportunity for collaboration and cross-cultural understanding to explore diverse knowledge systems, advocate for inclusive and sustainable education, and contribute to shaping a more equitable and sustainable future for humanity.

  • Global Comparative Education: Journal of the WCCES

    Global Comparative Education: Journal of the WCCES is a peer-reviewed journal of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES). It published full-length articles (about 6000 words) in the six official languages of the United Nations viz. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Normally, it is published twice every year: in March and September.

    The aims of Global Comparative Education (GCE are:
    -To promote research in comparative education in the six official languages of the United Nations viz. Arabic, English, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish.
    -To offer a platform to share conceptual/theoretical perspectives, results of empirical research with different methodologies. 
    -To contribute to strengthening the capacity of the WCCES by utilizing comparative education to promote further global understanding and collaboration to emulate the idea of our interdependence and common humanity.
     
    The readership of the journal comprises of students, scholars, practitioners, teachers of all levels of the educational systems, especially at the tertiary level, researchers, and government officials dealing with education in their respective regions with interest in comparative education.

    World Voices Nexus: The WCCES Chronicle

    World Voices Nexus: The WCCES Chronicle is a peer-reviewed journal of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES). It publishes short articles (about 3000 words) in the six official languages of the United Nations viz. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Normally, three issues are released every year: in February, June, and October.

    The aims of World Voices Nexus (WVN) are:
    -To promote research in comparative education in the six official languages of the United Nations viz. Arabic, English, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish.
    -To offer a platform to share conceptual/theoretical perspectives, results of empirical research with different methodologies. 
    -To contribute to strengthening the capacity of the WCCES by utilizing comparative education to promote further global understanding and collaboration to emulate the idea of our interdependence and common humanity.

  • WCCES-Brill Book Series

    The WCCES-Brill Book Series publishes books with full-length chapters (about 6000 words) on various topics related to comparative and international education in English language.
